Ian Kim
Ian is an avid hiker and occasional trail runner. He resides in Southern California with his wife, three teenagers, and a golden retriever. He spends his free time hiking the local mountains. He hiked Mt. Whitney in a day, climbed Half Dome, and ran marathons. Ian is a nurse anesthetist. He is keenly aware of physiological effects of high altitude on the body. With his medical background, he will assist monitoring the team for any signs of altitude sickness. He always had Kilimanjaro in his sights, but never thought he would be able to hike it with his brother-in-laws, Marco and Tony. He will encourage them to go slow, eat, hydrate, sleep, and have a positive attitude.
